“Our youth group has not only given me the opportunity to better my relationship with God but it’s also helped me feel better about who I am. With this youth group, I’ve found friends who I can laugh with and those whose faith is growing along with mine. In the beginning, I thought coming to youth group was just something silly to do on the weekends but I soon realized that it was much more than that. This group is one of the only places where I can feel myself and it’s a place where I know my voice matters. It’s important for our youth to have a place where they can feel free to express themselves and this youth group is that place for me.”  – Karla Romero

“Youth group is quite possibly one of the best things that’s happened to me. Before this, I was struggling a lot. I was having such a hard time but this youth group has helped me become a better person. It has made me like who I am and it has helped me accept God into my life and love him. Youth group is one of my safe places. I have had days where everything just seems like it’s all going to come crashing down but once I walk into that group full of excited and energy filled teenagers, everything feels better. We went from having a group of shy and quiet kids who wanted to be themselves but were too scared to do so, to having people who can sing, talk, act and be themselves around the entire community.” – Claudia Bautista
