The youth ministry program integrates adolescent catechesis in young people from 6th to 12th grades into a comprehensive ministry to, with, and for young people. As part of the community of St. Andrew, our group strives to:

  • Participate in parish life through strong family and volunteer participation.
  • Live out the St. Andrew mission of proclaiming the Good News for the poor
  • Create a safe space for youth to explore and express their voices and their faith.

In the coming year, we have planned the following events:

  • A Summer of Service designed to build community and intimacy with Christ through immersion in justice issues and local organizations
  • A spring retreat ending with a trip up Mt Hood to ski and sled
  • Fundraisers: two pancake breakfasts and monthly sales after mass in the community center
  • Friday night Fellowship once a month with food, fun and faith
  • Two yearly cultural/dramatic productions near Pentecost and Christmas
  • A trip to Wild Waves theme park in August

Youth ministry is led by the following adult team:

Heather Moline (hmoline@archdpdx.org)

Paul Stretch (paulstretch@gmail.com)

Pat Henry

Reg Bradley
